Born in the City of London in 1935.

At 16 joined a London advertising agency as a studio boy. Progressed through visualiser, typography, design, illustration etc., finally becoming an art director of an international paperback publishing company.

At 33 worked as a freelance designer/illustrator for a studio in Soho, London. In 1983 left Soho for Stroud in Gloucestershire. Continued to paint and illustrate. Arrived in Norwich, Norfolk in 1983 and now paint full time.
