Painting

I'm a fulltime self-taught professional artist, originally specialising in watercolours until 2019 when I decided to take on a new challenge of working with oils as well.

Painting is my way of escaping the busy and hectic reality of day to day life. I love the freedom that painting gives me, and my work has a semi- abstract and expressive style.

I have a particular love of painting the sea and all things coastal, there’s something so uplifting about the vastness of the skyline sitting over the ocean. I live and work in Cambridge and find much of my inspiration in the countryside around Cambridgeshire. I am drawn to the beauty of the ever changing landscapes, sunrises, sunsets and moody skies, I capture these atmospheric elements in my paintings by embracing colour, light and tone and enjoy creating art that has a sense of calm.

As a member of Cambridge Open Studios and Art in East Anglia, I enjoy attending art fairs and exhibitions throughout East Anglia and love meeting fellow artists and art lovers. A selection of my paintings are now available in Wells-Next-The-Sea at Metamorphosis, The Gallery, where I work once a week with fellow artists.

Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire.
