John Sparrowhawk

Painting

Growing up in London in the 60’s, John was exposed to vibrant colours and art forms that left him with unforgettable memories. In the following decade, artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein started to prosper as pop art masters.

John is blessed with an artistic flair, but it wasn’t until 2013 after a chance meeting with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood at his art gallery in London that John was inspired to pick up his paint brush. Entirely self taught, John paints in the pop art style of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

In 2019, six years after he started painting, John took home the prestigious Sponsor’s Choice Award at the Royal Norfolk Show Art Exhibition. Interestingly, the painting that earned him the award happened to be one of Ronnie Wood himself. John sells his artwork, prints and merchandise as well as paints on commission.
