I am known as Johno Cornish the Screwdriver Artist as I use Screwdrivers to paint with. I am born and bred in Norfolk.

In 2005 I had a near life ending experience and I shouldn't be alive but I’m really glad I am.

I am very passionate about Art and I call it Art Of The Soul as every painting that I paint comes from within me and all my paintings tell a story. Art actually saved my life, if I feel that there is a dark cloud over me I know if I start painting, it makes me happy and I loose myself in my artwork and it helps my mental state of mind.

Art is so very important as it saved me and it can help so many other people who are suffering from depression anxiety etc.. The reason I use Screwdrivers is because paint brushes do not work for me but Screwdrivers do as they give me the freedom and motion as I am trying to make my work feel alive. I use mainly gloss paint as it gives me the flow that I am looking for, I also use Acrylic and emulsion paint.

I really hope my work gives people inspiration.
