I originally trained as a technical illustrator then I became a designer and art director working for large agencies and consultancies mainly in London. After a spell freelancing I established a design and marketing consultancy with my wife in Dedham and then, fifteen years ago, moved to the south west of France near the city of Pau just north of the Pyrenees, renovated a farmhouse and large barn and then ran painting and other creative courses.
