Nhung Ha

Scultpure

Nhung Ha’s work is mainly resolved in three-dimensional forms depicting the female figure in a range of materials. The inspiration for her sculptures come from her upbringing from Vietnam, her gender, sexuality, relationship, personal experiences and the bronze foundry where she works. Therefore, she is fascinated with the process of bronze casting and loves bronze as a material. She also explores abstract forms of the female body through the techniques of modelling to demonstrate the state of her mind and the state of the world. Her sculptures show a masculinity language within the poses of the female figures as these reflect her own experiences
