Patrick Foster MA ARPS

Photography

I am proud to be Irish but have lived and worked in England for most of my life. I photograph many things and many places, both artistically and as a professional photographer. I have always been a photographer, even before I owned a camera, and now I have the skills and experience to do something about it.

My life is shaped by the need to take photographs, and sometimes I am asked which of my photographs is my favourite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow I answer, consequently, I have been searching for that favourite image all my life.

My first exhibition was in 1992. I have had an exhibition or two almost every year since. I qualified with a master’s degree in 2000 and have been a member of the RPS for many years.

I have been a photography teacher for over forty years, as a personal tutor, in colleges and universities.

And lastly, when people ask me what equipment I use, I tell them my eyes.
