Richard Baker is a Cambridge-based figurative artist and has been involved in many exhibitions over several decades.

He works in traditional media such as watercolour, indian ink, oil and pastel, and loves working directly on location where possible. Subjects include street scenes, coastal views, landscape, gardens, still life and flowers, portrait and life drawing. He has been a member of the Cambridge Drawing Society since 1983.

He won first prize in the Cambridge Open Art exhibition at Swavesey 2017 for an oil painting of a corner of his garden.
