Shaun's workshop is situated in the rural heart of Suffolk, just outside Hadleigh. Shaun's natural affinity with his chosen medium is clear. He creates beautiful objects with flowing forms from wood that many others would pass by.

Shaun purposely uses wood with imperfections, knowing that these 'flaws' will enhance the colour, texture and form of the finished pieces. As he says 'half the art is in the wood itself'. The majority of his objects are in natural timber rather than coloured, but he occasionally uses black dye and scorching techniques when he feels it appropriate.
